Norton Sports were established in their present form in 1927, after being given permission to use Norton Park as their base.
From 1927 until season 1998-1999 Norton Sports competed as a junior club in local leagues.
Prior to the start of the 1998-1999 season Norton amalgamated with local rivals Teynham & Lynsted , who had been founder members of the Kent County League (The successful Teynham & Lynsted side of this period contained a number of players who progressed into well know players in the Kent Non League circle, namely Jimmy Strouts, the F.A. Vase winning duo of Marc Seager and Rolly Graham and the man who has returned to us Scott Appleton).
The next few seasons saw a re building exercise. Kevin James, who had guided Teynham & Lynsted to the Premier Division title returned and performances improved.
Season 2005-2006 saw a return to the Premier Division.
At the start of the 2007-08 ex Sittingbourne and Fisher captain Ben Taylor took over the reigns with a determination and enthusiasm that rubbed off on all the squad. The championship was clinched in March in a season that saw 23 wins out of a possible 26, with just one game lost.
The lure of Kent League football that has now been achieved.
